At Saksham Special School, we are proud to offer a nurturing and supportive environment for children with special needs. Our teachers are trained and experienced in working with students of different abilities and learning styles. Our curriculum is tailored to meet the individual needs and goals of each child. Our facilities are equipped with the latest technology and resources to enhance the learning experience. But don’t take our word for it. Here’s what some of our parents have to say about our school:
1. Mrs. Komal kelkar – My daughter is 12 years old. From the time I started coming to Saksham school, my daughter’s social development started. Life skills, which were very important in our daily life, gradually started to improve. She started to mix with other children as well. Eat lunch with her own hands. The school offers various pictures, stories and demonstrations in terms of general knowledge, surroundings, festivals, things that are necessary in daily life. Different festivals and certain days are celebrated. Children actually get involved with this Visual – Auditory education. Children learn these things unknowingly. Even though she can’t express herself at the time, the staff is amazingly supportive and because of them kids happily do same things at home, what they learn at school. Children now eagerly and happily participate in doing the same things that were previously opposed by them. Children’s observational abilities have also increased. All this shows the hard work put in by the teachers on the children. A big thank you to the teachers.
2. Mrs. Shyamal Chudasama – The teaching method of this competent school felt very good. Every child who comes here gains the knowledge of the subject, taught in the school, teachers check what level he knows in that subject, and then prepares a syllabus for a year according to the child’s skills. As such, the child is gradually taken one step further in his studies. It’s very helpful for that kid. This school does not put, a lot of study pressure on the children. They have enough time to understand their studies as per their needs. This method of education is explained to the parent of every child in the school. And the children’s year-round study schedule is given to parents at home. It also helps parents understand the child’s progress and the direction of his studies. This method shows that the teachers here work really hard for the whole process.
3. Mrs. Darshana Gopal – After coming to Saksham, my son worked on a behavior that he had been with for eight years. So my son slowly started improving. And now that behavior is gone. He has completely stopped looking at mobile phone. This has improved his Eye Contact. He has also developed awareness. He has started studying with proper attention. The home program from school helps a lot with all the activities. Including sports and studies he needs when he comes home. Thank you so much to the teachers.
4. Mrs. Poonam Gupta – My daughter has been improving since she started coming to school. Her screentime has dropped. She has a NIOS A level education. Now that she is being taught life skills as she is growing, it seems like a very appropriate kind of education system. Functional Education is helping her a lot in her daily life. More importantly, the year-long plan for this education system has also been given to the parents of the children at home. The school is giving the right advice to parents. Thank you very much for this.
5. Mrs. Neelam Yedre – My daughter is 6 years old and my daughter has started saying some words after coming to school. Her seating tolerance has increased. Now she’s sitting on a table chair in a spot, eating lunch with her own hands. Competent teachers properly understand the children’s problems and then work on them. They also help in setting up a child’s routine at home by providing guidance from time to time. My heartfelt thanks to the teachers.
6. Siddhesh Kadam – We joined the school when our son Pranil was 7 years old. Itwas our first experience with a special school. Earlier, he was in aplaygroup but struggled to sit in class and was always frightened to go to school. As parents, it was frustrating. We were confused and worried about putting him in a special school, but it’s been two years now, and we’re thrilled with his progress. The school’s efforts are commendable. He’s doing tasks well, like bag packing, thanks
to the Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We’re grateful for the improvement in his speech and behavior, thanks to the Phonix Sound method. Most importantly, he loves coming to school and enjoying his studies.
7. Bharti H. Pujari – My name is Bharati Pujari. My daughter’s name is Hritika. Mydaughter is a special child. When my daughter was born, the doctor
told me that your daughter is a down syndrome baby. At that time,I did not even know the meaning of down symptom Then the doctor said that there are special schools, therapy etc. for them. If you go there, your daughter will improve. Then a friend told me about Saksham special School. When I took admission for my daughter in Saksham School, Hritika has no speech but after going to school, she slowly started talking, communicating and expressing her emotions with other friends and teachers. There was a lot of improvement in my daughter. Ofcourse this was not quick process that today you took admission and next day your kid will show the
improvement. In this long time taking process the teachers from Saksham Special School guided me and supported me a lot. I would like to thank the Team Saksham whole heartedly for always being there to guide me in my this special journey with my daughter.
8. Rajesh S Mankumre – I’m thrilled to share that my Daughter Mahi R Mankumre, who is autistic child, has successfully cleared her NIOS board SSC(Secondary exam) after studying at your school for 2 years. The progress she’s made is Remarkable, and we’re grateful for the dedicated support of the Teachers & staff of your school. Mahi has gained valuable skills like cutting vegetables and doing household chores, making her more independent. She has also improved and progressed a lot in the sports activities organised by your school from time to time. This wouldn’t have been possible without the efforts of Vaishali Desouza Teacher , Laxmi Mishra Teacher, Bharati Pujari Teacher , Prabuddha Gaikwad Sir (Sports teacher) and the entire school team. I’m thankful for the school’s efforts and highly recommend Saksham Special School to parents seeking a supportive environment for their children with special needs. Thank you for making a difference in Mahi’s life.
1. Mrs. Sweta Deshmukh – Firstly, I would thank Vaishali Mam for allowing me to visit the school. Most important thing I loved is each and every child is handled properly. They are all settled. School has given better learning opportunities to child. In all way i.e., Education (Learning), Functional, Sensory Input, and few concentration inputs. I am happy to see each child is well occupied. I am looking forward to taking an admission for my kid. Overall, I am satisfied by the school environment. Thanks once again.
2. Mr. Mukund Patki – I am a retired teacher. This was the first time I had the experience of visiting a special school. I loved the seating arrangements for the kids here. Since each teacher has a batch of 5 or 6 children, teachers can take proper care of the children. The teachers are also enthusiastic and hardworking. The effort here is to give as many things as children can use in the shortest space possible. Good luck to the Saksham school.
3. Mrs. Smita Tuscano – First of all, a big thank you to Vaishali madam for allowing me to visit the Saksham Special School. It was a very good experience. Here, children with different kinds of difficulties are learning together. Since the school teachers are experienced, these children are being handled very well by understanding their problems. Each child’s curriculum is tailored to his or her talents. This education system seemed very new and effective. Interestingly, each child was seen sitting neatly in their respective places and studying. Best of luck to the school.
4. Avadhoot Joshi(Neurophysiology Hub) – What is a school? It is a medium for acquiring education. I have had the opportunity to visit this school—Saksham School—three times. Generally, when we think of a school, we imagine books, studies, and an unspoken competition among students. But this school—rather, let us call it an educational institution—offers much more than just education. The teachers, staff, and the principal play a major role in constantly striving for the all-round development of the students.Having worked in neurology for around 34–35 years, I deeply appreciate the efforts of this school in providing holistic education to children with special needs. It truly touches my heart and continuously inspires me to contribute something for the institution. No matter how many times I visit, it always feels insufficient. Everyone here works extremely hard and makes sincere efforts to nurture each student with care and introduce something new. My heartfelt best wishes to all the teachers, the principal, and the entire staff. May they be blessed with good health and long life—this is my prayer at the feet of Shri Dev Gajanan. This is truly an institution (Vidya + Aalay = a home of learning) that one would love to visit again and again.
